TEA Nigeria aspires to lead inclusive socio-economic empowerment for gender and sexual minorities in the southwest region of Nigeria by 2028, fostering dignity, resilience, and sustainable livelihoods. Through skills training, entrepreneurship support, and leadership development, we aim to empower individuals and strengthen community capacity for increased economic resilience, social inclusion, and sustainable development. . We are convinced that strategic partnerships will ensure long-term economic independence and community-driven growth.
Sexual and Mental Health Support
TEA Nigeria strives to be the region’s leading provider of inclusive, trauma-informed mental and sexual health services for gender and sexual minorities. Our goal is to increase access, reduce stigma, and create safe environments through strategic partnerships, community programs, and digital platforms. We aim to support hundreds annually in building resilience and well-being.
Climate Action
We envision an inclusive climate movement where gender and sexual minorities youth lead sustainable solutions. By empowering advocates and integrating their voices into climate policies, we aim to enhance climate resilience and awareness. Our efforts will foster participatory research, policy engagement, and community-led projects reflecting diverse experiences and needs.
Human Rights Intervention
TEA Nigeria envisions a society where gender and sexual minorities in Nigeria are respected, protected, and free from discrimination. Through legal advocacy, legal aid, capacity building, and public education, we seek to engage in the reduction of human rights violations. Strengthening institutions and fostering coalitions will ensure justice, safety, and equality for marginalized communities.
Community Organizing & Mobilization
Our vision is to build resilient, organized communities of gender and sexual minorities across Southwest Nigeria. By developing leaders and forming vibrant groups, we seek to amplify advocacy efforts and drive societal change. Through capacity building, peer exchanges, and coalition formation, we will foster collective power to demand equity and inclusion.
